Why did you choose Skene House for your training courses ?
Jee Ltd: “The Skene House facilities are in a great location and the meeting rooms and services provided are of a high standard. We have built a strong relationship with Skene House over the years, and we always get great feedback on the venue from our course delegates.”
Platinum Productions: “I chose Skene House ConferenceSuites after staying in the apartments and noticing the fantastic meeting rooms. My stay was extremely pleasant, welcoming & exceeded all expectations. The laid back vibe was so refreshing, and guests are made to feel free to see to themselves & come and go as they wish, yet staff are there whenever needed. The perfect scenario. When I hired the meeting rooms for the first time, the experience was as positive as the accommodation. Therefore I have returned again & again.”
What are your top 3 event organising tips?
1. “Do your research; what do your clients want? and what demographic will you need to cater for?
2. Always leave plenty of time on the day of the event to arrive, unpack, set up & have a Plan B in the event of technical issues with your laptop or USB, have hard copies of the presentation. If you have a bit of time before delegates arrive, you can always relax with a cup of tea!
3. Have a session plan, and a rough time scale to ensure you are on time and don’t run over or finish far too early. Always have extra material prepared just incase!”
How important is social media to promoting your event?
Jee Ltd. “LinkedIn is a great platform for us to keep in touch with our customers and inform them about upcoming events.”
Platinum Productions: “Social media is a fundamental tool for promoting events. It’s easy to commuicate messages & keep in touch with delegates too. You can keep everyone up-to-date & build hype!”
What key things do you look for when choosing an event venue?
“Many thanks for all your help with our event yesterday. It went really well and we have had excellent comments on the food, venue and staff. Everything ran to plan and you accommodated any last minute requests with ease – you and your team could not have been more helpful. Our compliments also to the chef for his excellent catering. I will definitely be recommending your venue to our clients.” – Big Partnership
“Melissa was extremely helpful throughout the whole booking process , a pleasure to deal with – Has gone above and beyond.” – SFEDI
“Many thanks for your kind hospitality yesterday – everyone was very happy with the venue and we’re already talking about using Skene again for any external seminars. The venue ticked lots of boxes for us as you were very handily based in the city centre and near our office, had plenty parking on site, and you came in with the lowest quote out of a number of hotels we had contacted. The room was the perfect size for us as well as there was plenty of space for networking before and after the event without having to move to another room.” – CMS
“Thank-you chef for the amazing food” – Suchita Verma Raj and family
“Thank you to you and your team for looking after us so well on Saturday. Everything was great, from the room layout, the food, the service and your lovely decorations which made us all feel very special. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for any of you and I appreciate that very much as it made everything run very smoothly. Thanks too to the breakfast team who very kindly allowed us to have breakfast in the room. Excellent! I hope we weren’t too demanding! I will definitely be recommending you to others.” – G. Turnbull
“Thank-you so much for making our day so special, everything was perfect” – Suchita Verma Raj and family
