Meeting Rooms in Aberdeen City Centre with Skene House

The value of meeting in person, a face to face discussion, cannot be underestimated in business. The aim of the modern meeting is focus, open and timely deliberation, and constructive outcomes. Venue can play a part in achieving these goals. Sometimes taking colleagues to new surroundings encourages fresh thinking and a break from established patterns. It can also provide discretion for sensitive meetings and interviews.

Skene House Meeting Rooms offer something quite special. Our central Rosemount location is ideal for local guests and for colleagues visiting the Granite City, as we’re close to the railway station and a short drive from the airport. Our free car park takes the stress out of parking for the day leaving delegates relaxed when they arrive. As well as modern interiors, air con, free and fast Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment our meeting rooms are inspiring. Housed within a converted church, original 19th century features complement our sleek interiors. The perfect space to bring old and new ideas into the 21st century and for a meeting of minds.

Our Atrium Meeting Rooms, which we’ve nicknamed The Bat Caves, can host up to 45 guests. Flooded with natural light the room is a talking point in itself: an excellent space for showcasing images or presentations.

The slightly larger Mezzanine Meeting Room caters for up to seventy people. There’s easy access to break-out areas, and all the kit – such as projectors, screens and flip charts – that may be desired. Various layout options can be implemented to make the room fit requirements.

A range of catering options are available as we realise the importance of ‘Brain Food’. Breakfasts, brunches, lunches, fruit baskets, sweets, cordials, still and sparkling water can be organised. We can buy local, source gluten free, organic or vegan- basically there’s a wealth of rich food offerings in Aberdeen that we can tap into on your behalf. And, of course, non-stop tea and coffee throughout day.

Our rates vary according to requirements, from day-delegate rates to half-day room hire or full-day room hire. And of course we offer a range of serviced Apartment Hotels. It’s possible to accommodate guests at the Rosemount property so delegates need only head downstairs to attend a day of important meetings, and we also have excellent accommodation in our Whitehall and Holburn properties. Our Whitehall location has been voted number one on TripAdvisor for five consecutive years running in the city of Aberdeen, Rosemount is at number two. Your guests are in very capable hands.

Our Apartment Hotels have manned 24 hour receptions so we provide all the information, directions or assistance guests require, and it’s especially reassuring and helpful for lone business travellers. A complimentary breakfast is included if you book directly with us.

As a family company we’ve been doing business in Aberdeen since 1979. We’re proud to be a longstanding part of the Aberdeen business community and we look forward to contributing to your business story.

I do like a meeting room that has good light and lots of space. I’ve been in far too many boxed off rooms, with no windows and cramped in, and by the time you’re allowed out for a breather you’re feeling quite ill. So this is certainly a thumbs up from me.

We’re also very central so it would be easy to take a walk around the city if a lunch break was in order!
